I bring strong educational knowledge and experience from the classroom setting into my role as a Professional Learning Specialist at IXL. My career in education includes teaching within public school systems in both Colorado and Ohio. In my eight years as a middle school English teacher, I have solidified my instruction in reading and writing through strong pedagogical practices and content knowledge expertise. By pursuing a master's degree in teaching English language learners, I have been able to serve ELL students within the general education classroom as well as through teaching adult courses in my local community. I am dedicated to providing equitable access for all levels of learners in the classroom, and value bringing enthusiasm and positivity to education.
