I was the editor of Telemanagement, a monthly journal bringing news and insight about telecommunications technologies and services to subscribers -- IT professionals, telecom managers, and systems integrators across Canada. My duties included writing feature articles, assigning stories, editing copy, liaising with telecom service vendors and advising on layout.

I started working at IT World Canada as a staff writer for Network World Canada, covering network-technology news. I soon specialized in telecommunications technologies, and made my way up to senior writer, then department editor in charge of the telecommunications section of the magazine. I was promoted to the editor position of IT Focus, a magazine targeting IT news for specific verticals (finance, manufacturing). Afterwards I was awarded a position editing the applications section of ComputerWorld Canada magazine.
