After many years (and adventures!) in various capacities of human resources I'm pleased to have teamed up with another expert to provide tactile HR services to small businesses in northern Colorado. We strive to integrate structure and compliance with operations. To do this we educate clients on the most effective human resource needs for their organization so that they can focus on achieving their business goals.

Regularly assessed staffing needs, identified areas of team or individual development and implemented a plan to address growth. Then, as needed, would recruit, screen, interview, evaluate, assess, hire and orient new employees. Utilized HRIS software and teach/coach others involved in management and in the hiring process to use the technological tools that are available. Administered benefits for our company’s employees as well as for clients. Participated in marketing and development activities of the company; promoted our staffing services to clients; built and maintained client relationships, all while adhering to both legal and contractual guidelines.

Yancey's Food Service was acquired by Food Services of America and I retained my position with the company.

Assist the department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company associates. Assist in recruiting of nonexempt personnel and coordinate interviewing schedules. Administer pre-employment screenings and paperwork; maintain applicant and personnel records; conduct orientation for new associates; conduct benefits administration; process terminations; process performance reviews; assist the Director with various special projects; fill in as interim Director as needed; assist with processing of payroll for 200+ associates; and perform basic clerical duties.

The general functions included, but were not limited to, recruiting, retention, new employee orientation, maintenance of personnel policies and files, workers compensation, compensation surveys, all aspects of benefits, EEOC compliance, OSHA compliance, HIPAA compliance, making payroll adjustments, and various administrative duties. In addition to all human resource functions acted as liaison between employees and their managers and between managers and the physicians.

Managed staff while searching for and screening applicants, sold services to current and existing customers, maintained files, created and complied with budget and P&L statements as reported to corporate headquarters.

Interviewed, hired, trained and scheduled staff of 25. Opened 60,000 sq. ft. store from ground up. Maintained inventory by monitoring shrink, being proactive with returns of slow moving merchandise and ordering of high selling items and up and coming trends.
