During… Show more Responsible from pre-start through to completion of a £2.2m strip out and refurbishment and new build extension for a Blue Flag project for Westminster City Council.The refurbishment was to a much loved, live listed two storey pavilion with offices, children’s day center and four large wet changing rooms. The large new build was to complement the existing building by being traditional build and consisted of four larger wet changing areas and reception, passenger lift and plant room. During this project we successfully secured many further works for Westminster City Council.Further awarded £1.7m project at Seymour Leisure Centre London W1 to carry out major structural alterations to this live listed building and create an internal void of 30m x 15m and 15m high by removing two concrete floors (one above the other) and construct a series of varied professional climbing walls with hanging steel viewing galleries with an impressive feature staircase. This work was carried out in a live building which was continuously busy with organised groups of school children, crèches and various fitness groups for adults resulting in my developing a strict series of control measures for everyone’s protection.Further awarded a £1.1m project within the same sports center to strip out and refurbish two large wet public changing rooms, wc’s and shower blocks where programming was critical to the center to allow managed use of the facilities. We were also awarded several smaller works such as varied electrical fault finding and fixes, replace floor coverings to main corridors, carry out surveys on various parts of the building and fix many broken fixtures and fittings including overhauling the large main entrance doors and elevated bridge access ramps.Construction of a new £1M foot bridge (35m) and abutments over the river Colne, for Watford Borough Council, including new paths and landscaping in a live busy park.
