I am Senior Counsel at Ivanti, a leading provider of unified endpoint management, security, and service management software solutions. I provided legal support for Ivanti’s operations in the Americas, Europe, and the Asia Pacific region. My responsibilities include:- negotiating and drafting licensing agreements (both out-bound license agreements for Ivanti technology as well as in-bound license agreements for complementary/OEM technology);- negotiating and managing vendor and channel partner agreements;- managing all aspects of export and trade compliance;- vetting open source code for commercial use;- advising on new product launches and legacy product deprecation; and- protecting Ivanti's intellectual property assets. I also work closely with our Privacy, Security, Sales, and Engineering teams to minimize risk and ensure efficient and effective operation of the business. I also play an active role in Ivanti's merger and acquisition activities (approximate four large acquisitions during my time at Ivanti so far). These activities include the evaluation of due diligence materials and generally performing tasks necessary to ensure timely closure of acquisitions. I also act as a member of post-acquisition integration teams designed to ensure smooth integration of the newly acquired businesses into the Ivanti business.
