Developed and implemented innovative programs, products and services that enhanced the osteopathic profession. Directed the organization’s core functions and responsibilities, including Finance, Administration, Governance, Communication, Fundraising (Annual Campaign, Major Gifts and Planned Giving), Public Relations and Board Development. Primary interface for the AOF and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) in cultivating external relations with industry partners, affiliate organizations and advocacy groups. Established strategic partnerships with global health and service organizations that supported public health, humanitarian aid, community renewal and disaster response. Led organization through high growth and transition, from $4.5 million in assets to nearly $13 million. Created the Foundation’s signature fundraising event, HONORS, which grew from a complementary brunch with 75 guests to the profession’s most anticipated Black Tie event with 850+ guests at $350 per person. Built and retained exceptional staffs by creating a positive and supportive working environment. Key advisor to the AOA’s Bureau of Conventions; provided creative solutions that led to successful strategic alliances with vendors and consultants.

Managed the daily operations of the Foundation; worked closely with the Executive Director of the AOA. Oversaw and coordinated all aspects of budgeting and financial management. Cultivated longstanding relations with donors, affiliate organizations and industry partners. Developed and executed the request for proposal (RFP) for the AOA’s 2001 rebranding campaign. Chaired the AOA’s Marketing Task Force for 10+ years, which drove critical non-dues revenue.

Directed staff in the planning and execution for all meetings and events: OMED (AOA’s Annual Medical Conference & Exposition); meetings of all Bureaus, Councils and Committees; the AOA's Annual Business Meeting, and House of Delegates Meeting. Implemented electronic voting at the AOA’s Annual House of Delegates Meeting. Initiated, planned and directed the AOA’s first ever Bureau of Convention’s Strategic Planning Retreat, resulting in the rebranding of the conference now known as OMED. Supervised the implementation of the AOA’s first online travel agency to handle all travel for the AOA’s Trustees, Staff, Bureaus, Councils and Committees. Worked with the AOA’s Executive Director in the selection, negotiation and contracting of OMED’s keynote speakers: Mike Huckabee, Frank Lutz, James Carville, Mary Matalin, Lou Holtz and Jeb Bush. Created a customer-friendly business model for serving AOA leadership, members-at-large and supporters.

Established and facilitated the AOA’s Annual Corporate Advisory Board Meeting with representatives from the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. Planned and executed the AOA’s Corporate Visit Program; served as liaison between AOA staff, leadership and members of the pharmaceutical industry. The Program resulted in longstanding relationships with Abbott Laboratories, Allergan, Astra Zeneca, Aventis, Bayer, Boehringer Ingelheim, Eli Lilly, Endo, Forest, Glaxo Smithkline, King, Merck, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer, Pharmacia, Procter & Gamble, Purdue, Sanofi Pasteur, Searle, Tap, Welch-Allyn and Wyeth-Ayerst.
