I care about learning alongside of others a formational theology and understanding of worship, connecting and caring for local community, practicing creativity and taking part in making and appreciating art. I hope to never stop learning and growing in and with community.I have been a barista for 6 years across 4 different coffee shops. I love the craft of coffee, but my favorite part of the job has always been the opportunity to provide space for people to connect with each other, rest, or be productive in a safe environment. Working in coffee for me has been a perfect blend of practicing creativity, building community, and offering a safe and practical space for learning and connection.On the side, I have done professional photography for the past 4 years as well. In that time, I have done sessions for couples portraits, engagements, weddings, graduations, special events and musical artists. Similar to being a barista, this is an opportunity for me to connect with people in a unique way, and delivering pictures I am proud of to those people is incredibly gratifying for me. Having someone take pictures of you or an event is a vulnerable process; my goal is to always make it as comfortable and encouraging as I can.I have also been contracted out as a musician and a worship leader for different events including marriage conferences, spiritual retreats, summer camps and weddings. Different events have held different responsibilities; the simplest events involve me showing up and playing what they ask me to play. Other events require me to collaborate with the event organizer, find and build a team, plan out sessions and scheduling/facilitating practices and schedules for the team.
