Private Wealth (PW) services the high net worth clients of the Westpac Group, comprising Westpac Private Bank, St George Private and Bank of Melbourne Private. It is a high touch proposition that caters to the more complex needs of high net worth clients across banking, leading and wealth. Its wealth proposition is a wholesale proposition which provides clients access to bespoke insights and opportunities.

Reporting to the Private Wealth NSW State Head, role involved:- Client Service - responsible for delivery of our service proposition through leadership of a team of 55 Associate Private Bankers and Managers- Business Management - responsible for functions including target setting, business planning, risk and operations management and oversight of sales performance.

Reporting to the Private Wealth Chief Operating Officer, led a multi-disciplinary portfolio across 3 functional areas: - Private Office Services - An operations team of 33 people providing Banking and Transaction services for our High Net Worth Clients - Service Improvement teams - a small team of 3 to 4 people focused on driving process improvement and service optimisation across Private Wealth - Client Service - responsible for our service job family including matrix leadership of Private Wealth's front line service teams.

The purpose of the secondment was to help embed this new role as part of a recent operating model transformation. Reporting to the Private Bank NSW State Head, the role involved leading 14 Associate Private Bankers, each of whom supported a Private Banker manage a portfolio of High Net-Worth clients.

National role responsible for delivering projects and initiatives to support Private Wealth achieve its growth ambitions. Included leading operating model transformation, process improvements along with engagement in strategic initiatives to drive business optimisation and the delivery of group change initiatives.

Engagement involved exploring opportunities to optimise the St.George Private Clients lending performance. This included organisational changes, the potential to leverage the Westpac Private Bank lending team, as well as tools and process optimisation leveraging LEAN principles.

In 2008 EDS merged with Hewlett-Packard, a hardware, software and services business forming one of the world’s largest IT companies. Their respective consulting businesses merging to form HP Enterprise Services. As a Manager in the Business Consulting team I was responsible for a team of consultants as well as delivering and leading client assignments.

EDS was a global technology and services business that provided IT, application and business process outsourcing, and consulting / transformation services. As part of the Business Consulting team, primarily assigned to the Client Transformation Office on an enterprise client account team. The account team was responsible for the growth and delivery of services to a client which represented circa 40% of EDS' revenue in the region.
