My key responsibilities within this role is to be the first point of contact in the workshop responsible for the daily running of the workshop and team maintaining a vast range of tools and equipment for our fleet of over 30 drillers,operators and special tools.this ranges from diesel and petrol engines,Drill motors of all different powers hydraulic,electric air powered,electrical from 12 to 415volts,3 phase electrical generators,brokks which is a remote controlled demolition tool,hydraulic systems and tools and high pressure pumps and tools for hydro demolition and water jetting or blasting,this involves continuously inspecting all tools and equipment to maintain it to the highest possible standard and also requires a lot of fault finding,diagnosis and repair,I am responsible for making sure service schedules are maintained on time within a budget and that all relevant paperwork and certification is in place.I source and price all parts required for myself and other technicians and apprentices to which I am also the mentor for training and development for.

Whilst working at Alpha Plus i was responsible for maintenance and service fault finding and repair of enviromental facilities such as street sweepers,hydraulic card board balers at recycle centres,Greenkeeper mowers at golf courses and industrail cleaning machines at factories.During 2011 Alpha plus became a dealer of a industrial cleaning company called Dulevo based in italy due to this i was selected by my boss to travel to the factory and was a key figure in setting machines up in scotland i also trained other technicians on the products and machines which then build on building up relationships with clients and carrying out demonstrations which proved to be helpful with building customer relation skills for myself.During my time with the companywe had several contracts with companies based in Aberdeen and i was trusted to work and operate on my own for 8 months staying in Aberdeen Monday to Friday then traveling back to livingston to pick up supplies and parts once a week.This work gave me great confidence in my own abilityto work as a individual with limited resources but delivering maximum efficiency

In 2006 the oppertunity arose to move into the plant side of mechanics.This was something that interested me and was an exciting new challenge to further my knowledge and skills.I started off on the basic small tools such as stihl saws and packer plates,whilst at the same time studying new machines and there operation manuals and drawings to help me understand the way the worked and operated and there purpose.With hard work and effort i soon worked my way up to being a strong member of the team,using the knowledge i had learned and studied.At the end of the year i was given a report of the work i had done and this displayed i had helped increase the turnover of profit of the small tool by 30% against the previous year.
