About Sandrine Willaime-Morawek, Phd
I lead a research group that investigates the role of the microenvironment on the activity of stem cells in the developing, adult or pathological brain. My research is based within the Faculty of Medicine campus and is part of the Centre for Human Development, Stem Cells and Regeneration and the Institute for Life Sciences; my basic biology group comprises both clinical and non-clinical scientists.I also lead the iPhD programme in Biomedical Sciences, which is a 1y MRes + 3y PhD programme in the reesarch areas of cancer, neurological, inflammatory and infectious diseases, anti-microbial resistance and global health.
