This project, one of the largest of its kind in the country, provides secure photo identification documents to more than 8.5 million motorists and another 3 million identification-only usersDeveloped and implemented the equipment installation, user training and activation schedule for all California Licensed Cigarette Distributors’ low volume stamping machines• Developed, coordinated, and managed delivery of training to all CA BOE Investigations personnel on use of handheld tax stamp authentication and data capture electronic devices• Manages customer service, technical assistance, and equipment repair for over 150 pieces of specialized equipment deployed throughout the state to support this program• Project Impact: Introduction of a new counterfeit resistant cigarette tax stamp, stiffer penalties for violators and high tech devices for enforcement personnel have combined to net the State of California more than an additional $100 million in the program’s first year over the previous year.
