Drupal focused work on high traffic and high profile client sites including module creation, infrastructure design, load testing and platform management workflows for Drupal platforms hosting multiple vendors. Contribution of modules and patches back to the Drupal community under Drupal.org user tekante.

Implemented management of legacy content which allowed for a 10 to 20% increase in available ad inventory. Designed version control workflow and repository layout for deploying multiple Drupal based sites through dev, QA and production tiers reducing number of errors occurring due to mismatched file versions. Switched newspaper sites to Yahoo ad platform including APT plug-in development for CASAA Drupal module.

Modified log file analysis program to reduce disk space consumption during processing by 50%. Updated several internally developed programs to allow for the reduction in maintenance costs for internal infrastructure by eliminating legacy systems. Integrated spam data entry prevention into template engine with flexible implementation strategies for determining data quality which allowed for the reduction in data maintenance time at customer sites. Conducted technical master training to disseminate knowledge of web based performance tools and techniques

Maintenance and extension of custom template engine including conversions to allow for significant reduction of database overhead. Implemented secure session based authentication and account management framework to remove need for custom account management tools per application. Designed software to allow for integrated reporting with MDW products.

Lead team of 3 developers supporting and creating newspaper classified ad sites. Drastically reduced maintenance overhead by developing a new version of mdClassifieds product which allowed customers to move to a common platform with configurable options from numerous custom implementations.

Lead four person development team doing Perl and LAMP based development of tools for generating and maintaining newspaper Web sites along with custom development for clients of various sizes. Wrote Perl based CMS which allowed customer control of site content within designer specifiable areas. Instituted use of version control with CVS which allowed for better developer coordination and reduction of errors during deployments. Wrote LAMP based application to track billable hours which allowed for more accurate project estimation due to the availability of historical data.

Conversion of Photoshop based designs to HTML. Programming in Perl and in an in house template language similar to PHP/ASP. Primary work was on site content generation, maintenance tools, administrative tools and end user applications. Worked on all aspects of Web site production post graphic design to launch.
