Most recently, I was promoted to oversee all operations of an in-plant print, automated mailing, and fulfillment center (formerly owned by ING and currently outsourced to external vendor, Williams Lea Tag). This entails leading a team of 5 direct and 40 indirect reports as well as managing a $20M budget. Current challenges include closing our current Document Management Center (DMC) facility and transferring all to Voya’s new vendor of choice (Fiserv). Prior to this decision, I made key contributions to the bidding process to determine if Williams Lea Tag would continue as ING’s provider. Once the final decision was made, I became actively involved in engaging and navigating our staff through the successful closure of the plant and smooth transition to a new vendor.

In mid-2013, I was retained by Williams Lea Tag to support the seamless transition of the print, mail, and fulfillment from ING. Accordingly, I assumed all prior job responsibilities as the primary resource for efficient operations. My role included overseeing quality control, customer service, and prepress teams comprised of 7 employees.Achievements includes maintaining all previous SLAs and high-quality levels even though we had reductions in expenses and headcount. In addition to this, I introduced a plant-wide Quality Assurance program/team to review print/mail ad hoc production, which led fewer errors. I also played a critical role in Voya’s very successful rebranding campaign.

At ING’s Document Management Center (DMC), I served as strategic advisor to the DMC’s leader. This included providing thoughtful input for projects, initiatives, and overall operations. My impact included acting as a subject matter expert and/or Greenbelt on numerous company-wide Six Sigma initiatives. These projects accelerated processing time of ad-hoc print jobs and reduced waste. I also initiated and coordinated the training of our entire plant on Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

During this time, I drove strategic initiatives, project management, production performance, scheduling, and new pre-press operations for in-plant printing, mailing, and fulfillment. This included building and leading a highly effective 5-member team to ensure all jobs met customer expectations and SLAs.Additionally, I initiated and helped, develop, launch and provide user training for a new ASP, web-based order entry system for customer job submission, job trafficking, and billing for the DMC.Most notably, I built our pre-press department from the ground up, which led to the expansion of customer service offerings. I also grew our color print unit, increasing volumes by +50%.
