Thando's expertise lies in Strategic Research, Competitor Analysis and Economic Environmental Analysis. In addition to her analysis experience, she has held posts in Strategic Insights and Customer Engagement divisions, focusing on customer experience and Below-the-Line marketing of various products across customer segments, particularly affluent and Private Bank customers, in the Financial Services sector. Thando is an Economist by background and her strong analytical and interpersonal skills have been powerful tools in enabling her to contribute immensely to her work environment. As a result, she has developed strong stakeholder management skills and has developed strategies which effectively respond to customer needs and drive business growth. She spent several years in the Retail Banking industry where she used every opportunity to broaden her financial services experience and deepen her skill set. She is passionate about people and leaving the world a better place and spends most of her spare time, with the help of her mentors, teaching and sharing with others, in particular, young adults and Small Business Owners. She now owns Southern Crown Consulting which provides Strategic Research, Competitor Analysis and Talent Management services to small-to-medium size businesses and consulting firms within the Financial Services and FMCG sectors; and e-Volving, a boutique Data Analytics Talent firm which specialises in Quantitative Risk & Analytics, Actuarial, Statistical, Data and Decision Sciences.
