Responsible for the administrative, policy-development, and limited quasi-judicial decisions for Island County government in partnership with two other equally elected Commissioners. Much of my last 11 years have been focused on Behavioral Health Integration and establishing relationships at the local and state level to monitor the transition from county-run behavioral health programs to a managed care system; including understanding the impacts these changes present to Counties. I have worked closely with managed care organisations to understand what they need for financial success and network adequacy, the Healthcare Authority to ascertain their goals for Medicaid Transformation, and on behalf of 39 Washington Counties to ensure that proposed changes don't adversely effect the consumers or community. The California Republican Party is a political organization committed to a vibrant, prosperous, and secure California. As Finance Director, I was directly responsible for raising the funding required to support candidates who stood firmly for policies that are defined by a robust and growing world-class economy, strong and healthy families, and reformed and responsive state and local governments that serve the people while protecting individual liberty. Of note, my time in California was marked by the recall of Governor Gray Davis and the election of then-actor Arnold Schwarzenegger to the position of Governor. The result was a subsequent turn-over in Party leadership and the induction of his campaign team into Party politics. It was an interesting time and provided a birds-eye view to a dramatically changing political climate in California.

Oversaw all activities related to the fundraising and financing of the first election campaign for Congressman Bob Beauprez who was seeking election in a newly created congressional district in Colorado. Responsibilities included direct mail, telemarketing, finance committee, staffing, events and volunteer management. Raised more than $2.5 million in 6 months.

Oversaw all activities related to the fundraising and financing of United States Senator Wayne Allard's reelection campaign including direct mail, telemarketing, finance committee, staffing, events and volunteer management.

Traveled extensivly working on behalf of the National Republican Senatorial Committee in support of the fundraising, finance and strategic cmpaign activities associated with seven United States Senate campaigns in Rhode Island, Michigan, Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana and Washington State. Responsibilities included strategic assessment of campaign activities and strategies, writing weekly statues reports to the the Political Director at the NRSC based on my evaluations of on-the-ground operations, aide in the development of fundraising strategy, message development, event management and often inter-campaign relationship building. Exposed to a variety of management styles and regional cultures which has proven valuable. It also made me an excellent packer!!

Coordinating direct mail and telemarketing efforts to attract and retain small dollar donors who supported the mission of the WSRP. Responsible for large-donor events, contract negotiations for venues, arranging for speakers, and selling event tickets. Maintained an updated donor data base and prepared call lists for the organization's Chairman.

Managed the calendar for the Chief of Staff for the House Republican Caucus, ordered stationary for all House members and staff, scheduled training, and served as a liasone between the Caucus's Legislative Aides and our office, responsible for office files, phone calls and maintained confidentiality of caucus strategy as well as various personal matters.

Responsible for all campaign related activities for challenger candidate Barney Beeksma who successfully sought the 10th Legislative District State House seat. Responsibilities included voter contact, volunteer coordination, message development and "other duties as assigned"...yep, cleaned the bathrooms!
