My duty is to perform quality assurance on the digital ink samples produced on a daily basis. For this process, I am to determine whether or not the specific product is within parameters, and if not I am to determine what dosage of additives should be added to bring the digital ink within its own determined parameters.

As a quality assurance laboratory technician, I performed laboratory procedures on the additive samples provided for me every two hours during my 12-hour shift on a daily basis. I completed this process using the laboratory instruments provided for me (high performance liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, UV-Vis spectroscopy, Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy, pH meters, and acid-base burets) as well as perform wet chemistry and microbiology procedures (testing for microbial contaminants). During my shift, I also had to perform maintenance and calibrations on the instruments assigned to me. The company provided the analytical experiments for me to complete for the corresponding samples and collect the specific data set for each sample. After I had acquired the data for each sample set, I then proceeded to upload said data to the spreadsheet provided to the laboratory technicians, so that the engineers and their technicians could view the progress of the overall reaction.
