The primary objective was to expand Cargills footprint across the supply chain from inputs to commodity exports. This involved working with industry partners and accelerating growth through mergers and acquisitions.Accomplishments• Establish a Southern African direct to farm network focused on grain origination and crop input sales displacing the brokerage model. Annual volumes of 1.2 million MT’s and sales $42m. • Launched a small-holder financing support program to 25,000 farmers with the target of increasing net incomes by a factor of 10. • Created a 5-year plan to grow the small-holder farmer business from 150,000 to 1,000,000 farms alongside the cotton business.• Acquisition of Kenyan grain silo and Zambia soybean crush plant.

As a member of the Senior European Leadership Team, I was responsible for the business strategy and growth across the Black Sea region (1,700+ employees in Russia, Ukraine, Romania & Hungary). Change management was a major part of the role as we transitioned the business into a farmer focus business with the launch of a fully integrated crop input offering.
