As the Safety Director, I am responsible for writing, reviewing, and administering the Health, Safety and Environmental Program, conducting monthly safety committee meetings, conducting regular physical inspections of all work areas, identify unsafe acts or hazards throughout the company and field jobs, preparing reports that analyze the safety program to identify the trends, identify problem areas and compliance issues within the company, establishing and maintaining a record-keeping system, assisting and reviewing all accident investigations, working in cooperation with the Claims Coordinator to develop and monitor claim reporting procedures, working in cooperation with Claims Adjusters, Loss Control and Risk Management representatives in the investigation of claims, analyzing potential hazards and development of methods to reduce losses, establishing procedures for handling complaints from employees, ensuring the proper safety training and certifications are provided for all employees, conducting safety leadership training, conducting general safety training, inspect and audit maintenance reports regarding key equipment and machinery, establish and maintain good working relationships with host company Safety Directors and their safety departments. As HR Manager, I conduct our new hire process and packages, to include initial safety orientation, receive and manage any employee concerns or complaints, manage our non-work-related injury return to work process, and maintain an open-door policy for all employees.

Completed Engineer, Remote Control, and Conductor certifications. Conducted accident investigations, ensured state and government regulatory compliance, and maintain all training records. Rules Examiner -Safety coordination and rule book maintenance. Conducted field proficiency test, periodic rule exams and achieved new rule buy-in from Steel Worker Union leaders.Transportation Supervisor -Planned for the manpower, equipment, and materials needed to provide service to customers. Responsible for the coordination of transportation activities of the railroad with internal and external customers to provide for the safe and efficient movement of cars and trains. Upon the implementation of the company's new "Carnegie Way", I was selected very early to attend CW101 training and was one of two Transtar employees at Fairfield Southern to attend the second level of training, CW201. With that training, conducted CW101 training across the Southern Region of Transtar, reaching our goal of 100%. The Carnegie Way is rooted heavily in Lean Six Sigma, project chartering, role modeling and employee engagement. I have conducted Gemba Walks and Opportunity Identification sessions, as well as, conduct Root Cause analysis for all safety incidents by utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools within the DMAIC process.

Began this career as a Packaging Supervisor for a modular brick manufacture, quickly moved to the manufacturing process, and was transferred to the flag ship plant in Atlanta, GA. I served as the Safety Officer at all three plant locations.
