Helped to operationalize a start-up international foundation with board members from Canada, China, Ethiopia, Kenya, Italy and United States dedicated to the healing of grieving communities of families of 157 lost loved ones who died on Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302, an avoidable Boeing 737 MAX airplane crash, and aviation safety. Secured initial major gift to the foundation that allows it to fund activities.Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 crashed just five months after the first Boeing 737 MAX crash went down in the sea after taking off from Indonesia capital Jakarta. Lion Air Flight JT 610 was headed for the western city of Pangkal Pinang. All 189 people died in this crash for a total of 346 deaths.Engaged various constituencies, including U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Department of Transportation's Inspector General's Office, senior officials at Boeing, Ethiopian Airlines officials, and Ken Feinberg and Camille Biros - who are tasked by Boeing to distribute $50 million for communities affected by the crash, and major international media. Supported a Memorial Committee of families who helped to create the one-year anniversary memorial service that took place on March 10, 2020, at the crash site outside Bishoftu, Ethiopia. Travel twice times to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, during this period.
