Twenty five years of financial services experience has shown me that successful companies combine the traditional focus on service, beneficial products, and effective pricing with an ability to innovate and adapt. I learned this lesson working for large corporations and then as an entrepreneur and small business owner.Upon graduation from University of New Mexico (1973), I took an entry level job in the horse racing business finishing as a Racing Secretary and Steward. In 1980 I returned to UNM earning my MBA in 1983. I then moved to Denver to join First Interstate Bank as a Commercial Banking Officer. In 1989 I became a partner in National Business Finance, a factoring company which sold in 1996 to Wells Fargo. I ran the factoring division for Wells until 1999. In 2000 I opened Premier Trade Solutions providing factoring and purchase order finance as a direct lender. In 2016 the financial portfolio was sold with Premier changing its focus to financial and credit services for small businesses. It now operates as a service provider to the PO industry, a financial referral source and as a specialty credit provider.
