I’m proud to be an executive assistant. I love that I can use my strengths in a role that is the linchpin of an organisation.Knowing that I compliment a dynamic, forward thinking and strategic focused CEO keeps me motivated and passionate about adding value to this important role.Being an Executive Assistant is so much more than diary management, responding to emails, preparing reports or creating PowerPoint presentations. I am also a diplomat, a business partner, a confidante, a problem solver, an adviser, a representative, a negotiator, a sleuth and a master organiser. I have to know about HR, IT, finance, governance, marketing, purchasing, risk, policy development, office management and stakeholder engagement.I’ve worked across diverse industries from medico-political to destination marketing; in small to large organisations; with entrepreneurs, volunteers, CEOs and boards. I’m a natural organiser. I’m efficient. I bring calmness to a situation. I’m proactive. You can trust me. The Executive Assistant role has morphed to be a critical role within an organisation that has both a strategic and implementation focus. And I love being part of it.
