Hello! I’m Thomas Payton, a dedicated software engineering student at Iowa State University, where I'm also minoring in Cybersecurity. Since teaching myself HTML/CSS back in sixth grade, I have spent countless hours developing personal projects, learning new programming languages, and exploring various powerful libraries.Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have gained extensive experience with HTML/CSS, Python, JavaScript, Java, and C. I’ve had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through internships at major companies like Splunk, John Deere, and PeachPay. At Splunk, I engineered key accessibility features for their core dashboard product, benefiting thousands of users daily. At John Deere, I improved deployment efficiency and software performance, and at PeachPay, I enhanced payment processing systems, increasing the available payment methods.In addition to software development, I have a keen interest in cybersecurity, reverse engineering, obfuscation, and anti-bot measures. One of my favorite pastimes is crafting scripts to bypass website bot protection and automating e-commerce checkout processes.When I'm not programming, I enjoy playing frisbee, swimming, working out, discovering new music, and spending quality time with friends. My goal is to continue enhancing my skillset, taking on challenging projects, and contributing to innovative solutions in the tech industry.
