Responsible for the design, management and implementation of civils projects, including: - Civils lead for multi-disciplinary projects within the rail sector. Working with other disciplines to deliver projects for new construction, asset upgrades and asset refurbishment. - Working directly with suppliers to implement solutions for clients. Including, sourcing suitable materials, products and equipment. - Working with contractors and suppliers for procurement of materials and products. - Using national and international standards to deliver projects and challenging standards with derogation applications. Use and adaption of Network Rail standard designs/details. - Implementation of CDM regulations within design submissions. - Writing of detailed technical reports, specifications for materials and workmanship, assessment reports and options reports. - Running of interdisciplinary design reviews/checks with clients, stakeholders, utility providers and outside parties. - Client and stakeholder interface, often being the first point of contact. - Technical civils design including experience in steel design, concrete design, geotechnics and foundations, drainage design, cable routing, timber structure design and masonry design. - Management of design submissions, resources, finances, budgets and programme. Coordination of internal teams to deliver projects. - Production of planning application documents and drawings. - Tender submissions and pricing.
