Working as a Software Engineering Intern I am contracted with Veritas to work on the NetBackup product. More specifically, I am currently the scrum master for a testing infrastructure team. We develop tools for failure analysis which are used daily.

As a fabricator I was responsible for manufacturing various plumbing components to be used in new and existing J-berd contracts. In my 2 and a half years I manufactured about $1.5 million worth of components.I was also responsible for pulling orders and receiving shipments.

At Arctic, I worked directly under the receiving team lead. It was my duty to train all new hires on the Linux Red Hat receiving system we used. Additionally as the most capable user of the system I would receive in the most difficult loads which required checking in about 900 cases per shipment worth about $150,000 worth of product.As a side note: My favorite task was working in the blast freezer which was -40° Fahrenheit without the wind chill from the coolers.
