Company Commander (2021-Present)Platoon Leader (2018-2021)- Leads a company of 67 combat medics (68W) in support of ground evacuation operations , sustainment support operations, expeditionary deployment operations in support of the offense, defense, and Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) in order to save lives, prevent human suffering, and mitigate great property loss. - Manage over $20,000,000 worth of military medical equipment to include vehicles, trailers, connex containers, IT Equipment, and various medical supplies. - Plans, coordinates, and monitors the treatment of patients. - Advises unit Commanders and staff on medical/non-medical areas of patient evacuation, treatment, and tracking. - Practices preventative medicine, organizes administration, maintains equipment, and trains staff. Additional Duties: - Army Physical Fitness Test Officer-in-Charge: In charge of organizing, planning, and executing the Army Physical Fitness Test. Responsible for maintaining and updating soldiers’ fitness records. - Army Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Victim Advocate (pending SHARP VA school availability): Serves as a point-of-contact for victims of sexual violence. Provides direction for victims of sexual violence to seek legal assistance. Assists the Inspector General in investigating possible violations of the law, both civilian and Uniform Code of Military Justice. - Army Regulation 15-6 Investigating Officer: Responsible for conducting an administrative investigation into allegations of sexual harassment within the 343rd Medical Company (GA). Responsible for interviewing potential witnesses, gathering and analyzing data from human intelligence, writing and presenting formal reports and memoranda, and determining reasonable punitive action in regards to relevant findings. - Performing firefighting tasks such as preventing, combating, and extinguishing structural, residential, vehicular, and wildland fires in order to save lives, prevent human suffering, and mitigate property loss. - Performing emergency medical first response and transport at the basic life support level. - Safely operating and maintaining firefighting equipment and tools to include Virginia class I, II, and III fire apparatus (e.g. rapid-response vehicles, ambulances, fire engines, heavy rescue trucks, etc.). - Establishing an effective Incident Command Structure (ICS) in accordance with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) when approaching an emergency scene. - Effectively analyzing hazardous emergency situations in order to prepare and initiate an appropriate plan of action. - Assisting the Fire Marshal in investigating the cause of fires by analyzing spread patterns, fuel used, and other factors. - Participating in multi-agency/organization venues, briefings, meetings, and conferences in order to promote interoperability between agencies. - Preparing and writing effective reports on patient care, emergency management, and fire-ground operations in order to effectively identify problem areas and to implement solutions. - Participating in daily station training, continuing education classes, emergency drills, and quarterly training events. - Performing preventative maintenance and general facilities management.
