Recruited by the General Manager to innovate business, realign IoT, Smart Grid, Smart City, Smart Meter project to original goals, responsible for $120 million pilot budget and roadmap for full deployment with a budget of $3 billion. Manage partner relationships with US Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA), University of Southern California (USC) and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). Realigned budget, infrastructure technology, software applications, PMO, mobile applications and integration to project completion for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Customer Behavior (CB), Cyber Security (CS), Demand Response (DR), Electric Vehicle (EV), Solar, Vehicle/Battery to Grid, Home Area Network (HAN), Meter Data Management (MDM), Oracle billing systems integration and customer facing billing and usage website and EV mobile applications. Responsible for the Smart City organizational design and operations for PMO Office, Strategy & Planning, Budget, Vendor identification and negotiations, Business Process Reengineering, Application & Infrastructure Technology Evaluation, Acquisition, Adoption & Integration, Operations Center, Deployment and Testing with a total budget of $3 Billion. Delivered Smart Meter Network Operations Center, implemented comprehensive distribution planning software utilizing spatial load forecasting, load flow analysis, advanced monitoring and situational awareness to provide distribution planners accurate methods for assessing risk, resource planning, and optimizing the distribution grid.
