I am currently an intern that has now transitioned into a part-time role with the Technical Innovations Unit whilst finishing my BSc in Cyber Security & Forensics. Whilst full time, the placement provided me with many opportunities to work with and assist police officers with daily operations.Responsibilities with the Unit included internal Network & Systems Administration as well as cross- platform iOS/Android Software Development. Since moving into a part-time role, I have been performing duties involving:- Active Directory domain management - including system deployment, group policy and user management, and WSUS Maintenance- Network management with Cisco, Dell and Netgear enterprise equipment- Mobile application development with the Flutter SDK- Assisting other units with technical tasks

My role in the SecGen project has been focused on developing modules that can then be integrated into scenarios for students to complete. During this time, I have been involved with updating modules from Ruby 2 to 3 as well as working with my team to develop brand new modules for future use. The project itself also involves creating vulnerable scenarios with Puppet, which will then be used to mass produce vulnerable VMs for students. Some existing examples include IDS configuration labs, vulnerable server exploitation with Metasploit and Reverse Engineering / Malware Analysis labs.
