CurrentGlobal projects include:- Fishery Improvement Projects; This involves guiding fisheries through the FIP process, carrying out the preliminary science, implementing actions to address the fisheries shortcomings and engaging with all stakeholders including high level NGOs, companies, fishery owners and government entities. Further actions include: creating tenders, public document writing, presenting at international conferences to ensure the fishery makes active steps towards achieving certification (both MSC and IFFO RS).Experience in West Africa, Atlantic Indian and the Pacific Ocean with longline and purse seine vessels.- Economist World Ocean Initiative Paper; This publication involved high level research which was then backed up using interviews with experts in their field. This was then included into the paper to develop a story arc. After rounds of review it was published in January 2019.- Human rights at sea fact finding; Contracted for this large piece of work that involved collating all human rights and social initiatives globally into a database. This involved a large amount of research and fact finding, through both desk-based studies and using our range of networks to deliver the project on time to the client.- Market Feasibility Study for large Standard Setter looking to market seafood in Europe; This involved trade data analysis of imports, exports and consumption, value chain analyses and intelligence gathering from buyers- Quantifying the impacts, socially and environmentally, of certification for a NGO; Involved carrying out impact assessments by reviewing data and conducting interviews to obtain the data which was compiled into a report to be presented to the board.- Seafood Assessments; Working for NGOs to ensure Quality Assurance within the audit process by analysing Audit reports for conformities.- Trade Unions Dialogue Management on Labour Rights in Fishing, European Transport Workers Federation
