Also during this time, Travis became a GE trained 6-Sigma Black Belt. In less than 2 years, the greenfield site that Travis was responsible for reduced setup times by 50%, reduced inventory by 60%, improved productivity by 250%, and took on-time delivery from 48% to 100%.Travis has personally led 10 Lean transformations and over 100 Kaizens in various manufacturing and healthcare related companies. Largest scope of responsibility includes having led a $1 Billion budget, 10,000 employees, 30 sites, built and designed 4 greenfield sites, and participated in 4 major acquisitions. Travis was the 1st person to bring Lean transformational experience and processes to Express Scripts. Over the course of 11 years, Travis hired more than 30 Lean professionals, installed a Lean principle based Pharmacy Operating Business System, and achieved 30% - 50% year over year improvements in patient safety, service, cost, and productivity. The most outstanding accomplishment was taking patient safety from 150 DPMO/month to achieving 0 DPMO/month. Travis graduated as Valedictorian 3 times in his life: high school, undergraduate degree, and master’s degree. Degrees include a B.S. Industrial Engineering & Minor in Business Management from Milwaukee School of Engineering and a Masters of Quality Management from Loyola University in New Orleans.
