When I think of the two reasons for my professional drive, it is to be true to my upbringing and go the extra mile. Because what matters is not only how much knowledge you have, but what you do with it. I learned this lesson as a child, as my granddad would never just provide me an answer to my questions. He’d point me to his encyclopedias and tell me to find the answer myself. But even that was never the end of it. Later, at dinner, my granddad would challenge me to explain the answer and put it into context. It was exhausting, but because of my granddad, I learned not to seek easy validation.So why is this important? Well challenging the perception of what is possible and pull through to delivering change with impact, is a cornerstone in my motivation, and what makes my job so interesting.
