About Veronica L.

Colleagues describe her as "As Emerging Technologies Chair for the SIGGRAPH 2022 Conference, we were back in person for the first time in years, and on a shoestring budget. I had no subcommittee onsite, and at the last minute I got assigned a volunteer in the Conference Apprentice Program. This is a program that allows former stellar Conference Student Volunteers an opportunity to contribute on the conference planning committee level, to help groom them for more senior leadership positions.  I really hit the jackpot with Veronica! She was simply stellar. Within hours she was not a volunteer, she was my number two onsite, and helped facilitate both the normal operational details of setting up, operating, and tearing down a conference event laden with a lot of pretty bonkers technologies and scenarios. As well as tending to any of the unanticipated issues we had as well. She made sure that her schedule dovetailed with my priorities and worked to manage everything from student volunteers to mashed cables. Plus she is just a delight to work with. I look forward to working with her on future committees."
