As a team leader of 10 developers, I was responsible for overseeing the frontend and backend development of a video-sharing platform. We used React Native for the frontend, and Nodejs, Python and PHP for the backend. Some of the key features that we implemented were:● A transcoding system that leveraged FFMPEG to optimize the videos for mobile network bandwidth and quality.● Develop a React Native app that allows users to view and create videos. The app relies on several native modules to handle the complex functionality of the video player and the video editor. The app should have a user-friendly interface and a high-performance video processing engine● An AI-based system that analyzed the videos for inappropriate content, generated subtitles, and detected celebrity faces to enhance the hashtags and metadata.● A search and recommendation engine that utilized ElasticSearch to provide a better user experience and personalized content suggestions.● Use Docker and Kubernetes to build and manage the infrastructure, and automate the deployment process with GO.CD for servers and Bitrise for mobile app.

● Develop a single sign-on (SSO) service that enables secure authentication and authorization of users across different identity providers and content providers, using Node.js and MongoDB as the backend technologies.● Develop an integration service that fetches videos and metadata from various content providers and converts them into a unified metadata format for delivery to identity providers, who can then create their own websites to display the content.● Develop a web platform that delivers the content to the end users, who can access the content after logging in with their chosen identity provider and verifying their permissions, using React as the frontend framework.● Develop a transcoding service that optimizes the quality of the content for different network conditions, using Python and Node.js for different parts of the web application.● Implement digital rights management (DRM) solutions, such as Google Widevine, Microsoft PlayReady and Apple FairPlay, to protect the content from unauthorized copying or distribution.● Use Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and manage the infrastructure on the company own bare metal servers.
