Duties include but are not limited to the design, installation, support, training and maintenance of audio/video technologies. This includes digital audio workstations (DAW), non linear editors (NLE), shared storage for media as well as production/media asset managers (PAM,MAM) both on premise and in the cloud.

Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area

• Managed 10 video and 6 audio post production suites with a team of, 15 fulltime and 12 contingent workers. Supervised creation for on-air promotions and language customized programming for Latin America in English.
• Installed and managed Avid Interplay/ISIS environment for local and remote locations.
• Managed the production music library for all of the Discovery Latin America offices, utilizing a variety of technologies including Soundminer.
• Customized ON-AIR Pro (workflow management system) to prioritize audio work, resulting in significant output increases and time savings.
• Implemented new technologies, workflows, and procedures in video post resulting in increased output while lowering resource usage.
• Managed, maintained and kept updated all the audio and video suites as needed (Hardware and Software)

• Oversaw the focus on new technologies and workflows to create efficiencies in the audio post department Resulting in reduced staff needs while maintaining productivity.
• Reviewed audio effiencies and overall quality of work originating from our Miami audio department, which proved that these procedures couldn’t be duplicated in our regional offices in South America. Audio work remains.
• Developed new workflows utilizing existing technologies, which allowed all on air marketing promotions from Brasil, Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico to be mixed from the Miami location.
• Implemented Loudness specifications in our post suites and throughout the broadcast/transmission facility thus ensuring CALM act compliance nationally and loudness consistency internationally.

• Oversaw the management and development of the audio department. Created and developed the first audio department for Discovery Communications in Miami which initially included just two audio suites that quickly grew to.
• Implemented and managed our file based SFX and Music delivery system.
• Designed, implemented and trained staff on all audio post workflows creating an extremely efficient delivery process while maintaining high quality of work.
• Created the first audio file-based delivery system for language dubbed shows. This process reduced the delivery time by weeks and saved significant capital.
• Sound designed and mixed award winning promotions.
