I worked as an independent claims adjuster during catastrophes and daily claims during the rest of the year. While on assignment in Virginia I wrote in excess of a million dollars in claims in forty seven days. Most of my claims experience has been in the field but I also worked in a call center environment. I have handled claims involving wind, hail, fire, and water damage. I work with customers at the worst possible time right after something bad has happened in their lives. This requires great customer service skills. I have been asked to settle many difficult claims because I have the ability to diffuse situations and still abide by guidelines. Working in the field under no supervision sometimes requires being able to make independent decisions under stressful conditions based on the guidelines. America's ome Place is a scattered lot home builder. I started with America’s Home Place as a Warranty representative and was promoted to superintendent. I later went into sales where I quickly moved to the top.I finished number three in sales my first year.I was then promoted to Sales Manager. I managed the day to day operations for my district which consisted of two offices with five sales associates. America's Home Place had 45 offices, my two offices finished in the top ten the four years that I was a manager. I finalized all sales contracts and final settlements with homeowners. I worked with financial institutions to help homeowners acquire financing for their new home. Worked with attorneys to schedule closings, title searches. I also met with homeowners for initial site visit to calculate cost of site development. I made site visits throughout the construction process to make sure contract obligations were met.
