Wendy has held a number of leadership positions in the Healthcare industry across many disciplines. With Coulter and Associates, Wendy is responsible for expediting PPO and managed care arrangements and Accident and Health (A&H) product filings through SERFF, for insurers administering various A&H products throughout the United States. Wendy’s managed care operations expertise includes: network management and provider contracting; credentialing; provider file database management; vendor oversight; and regulatory reporting for both Blue Cross & Blue Shield's Horizon NJ Health and United Healthcare's AmeriChoice Medicaid managed care plans. As a consultant, Wendy was a consultant for insurance departments in the District of Columbia, Michigan, New Jersey, and Ohio. For 7 years, Wendy served as court appointed special deputy and onsite regulator for managed care organizations challenged with compliance and solvency issues. Serving as senior executive for run-off managed care entities, Wendy had direct responsibility for marshaling assets, directing all business operations, negotiating settlements, claim reconciliations, reinsurance collections, administration of transition of membership acquisitions and final payment to creditors. Wendy is the founder and director of the “Believe to Achieve” scholarship and produces a major annual fundraiser benefit.
