Serving as the last gatekeeper for the reputation of the news station, making continuous script adjustments throughout the show. Serving as keynote and presenter on behalf of the station to business and civic groups, and leading several fundraising events.• Project Management: Leading the development and successful coverage of high-profile events, including breaking news related to COVID, campaign coverage, crime, protests, and major sports team coverage; led long-term investigative projects and short-term projects, coordinating technical, talent, sources, and confirmations to ensure hard-hitting, informational coverage for viewers• Spokesperson: Lead fundraising events for regional organizations guiding marketing, attendee engagement, serving as event emcee for the Fallen Firefighters Foundation, For the Kids Foundation, UPAF, and more, with events drawing more than 1K attendees • Strategic Communications: Collaborating with station leadership on strategic communications and marketing, playing a pivotal role in managing crisis communications, leveraging clear messaging and diplomacy with the public to ensure adherence to facts; identifying internal and external opportunities for improvement• Training and Development: Training new reporters to develop skills and create iron-clad stories, grooming talent to rise within the organization to positions of higher responsibility • Digital Media: Reaching a broader audience via social media, developing digital content for CBS 58, increasing website likes to 100K+, averaging 500K+ post interactions weekly • Process Improvements: Developed new processes and tools to onboard and train new reporters
