How have you been? Let’s hoop this week.” As he got closer, I finally recognized him, gave him a quick hug, and replied, “For sure. Let's hoop this Thursday. It's been too long.” My friend John was impressed that I had met so many people only a few weeks into the fall semester. He said, "On a Sunday night at 9pm?! See. I told you, Will. You know everyone.” To which I replied, “I know everyone except for everyone I haven’t met.” Also, I did end up following up with my friend Nick who wanted to hoop later that week on Thursday. I'm not the best at pick up basketball, but I am one of the best at keeping my word.
