I am construction barrister at 7 Wentworth Selborne Chambers. I accept briefs in all areas of construction law, with a particular interest in major infrastructure disputes and international arbitration.Prior to being called to the bar, I was a Partner in the Construction Advisory and Disputes team at Pinsent Masons in Sydney. In that role, I regularly provided strategic advice on major infrastructure and construction projects and disputes, and remain committed to the provision of strategic advice that seeks to resolve issues in a commercial and expeditious manner. I have appeared in the Supreme Court, District Court and Local Courts in NSW, and in the Land and Environment Court, as well as in expert determinations, arbitrations, mediations and before Dispute Advisory Boards.I have significant international experience and interest. I was a registered lawyer with the Dubai Legal Affairs Department for 8 years and have advised on, and appeared in, major international arbitrations in numerous jurisdictions under the ICC Rules, the ADCCAC Rules, the DIAC Rules, and in ad hoc arbitrations under the Singapore Arbitration Act and the UNCITRAL Rules.I have a Masters in Construction Law from the University of Melbourne (Hons 1 equivalent), as well as a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Media from Macquarie University. I have also studied the Harvard model of negotiation at Harvard Law School.I was recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a recommended junior counsel in NSW for Construction and Infrastructure in 2021 and 2022.I was recognised by Doyle’s Guide as a Leading Construction and Infrastructure Litigation Lawyer in 2019 and 2020.
