My oilfield career began in 2003 when I started working as a floor hand on a drilling rig and finally as a driller in a two year span. I then continued to work as a driller for the next six years and I worked on my days off to save the money I needed to put myself through college. I attended the University of Wyoming from August 2010 to May 2014. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering. I have since been working in industry as a well site supervisor for SM Energy in their Rocky Mountain Division. All of my oilfield experience has been on the drilling side of the industry. I have a strong background in safety program implementation and rig inspection as well as JSA procedures and safe work practices. My background also includes underbalanced and managed pressure drilling. My directional drilling experience includes s-curve and extended reach horizontal wells, open hole sidetracks, and rotary steerable systems. Through my experience, I have learned to effectively manage and lead diverse teams of employees to achieve productivity goals while holding safety in our operation paramount. Whether working as a well site supervisor or as a drilling engineer, my plan is to work to optimize the drilling program in the given field where I am assigned.
