As an Amazon Prime Student Ambassador at Riddle & Bloom, I am responsible for increasing awareness of the Student Prime membership and it’s benefits to students at the University of Wyoming for the 2018/2019 academic year. I accomplish these goals through a number of different integrated marketing approaches including digital, experiential, and peer-to-peer tactics.

The Wyoming Lottery Intern position consisted of learning the various aspects that go into the marketing of, and consumption of, potentially harmful products. These were skills, among others, that I honed during my time fulfilling these duties. I particularly practiced and perfected my organizational and time management abilities as I attended and planned Wyoming Lottery sponsored events. These events occurred all across Wyoming; they were not localized to my local Cheyenne region. This allowed me to experience a wide variety of communities, consumers, and challenges that I faced head on and grew from. During the events I participated in, I managed other employees and sold merchandise to consumers. While doing these I had a constant duty to keep track of all of our customers with vigilance, ensuring that all players are of age.

I managed a staff of 35 employees with anywhere from 7-12 employees at one time on the clock. Any time after 4 I was in charge of the store and calls to upper management were only made in case of emergency. During the hours from 4 to 11 I would run the daily operations, this included managing inventories, employee concerns, daily revenues, and consumer complaints. Through these situations I developed interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills applicable to a professional working environment.

I managed employee personal during day to day operations, this could range from 2 to 5 people. I also was in charge of meeting sales goals every week. This helped me to understand what goes into keeping track of a goal and what changes need to be made when not meeting expectations. If however it seemed the goal was not to be met I would incentive employees with fun a creative ways for the team to improve their selling and general attitudes about the tasks given.
