Project Manager And Policy Advisor Development, Migration & Conflict
Den Haag En Omgeving, Nederland
In my role as project-manager, I worked together with partners in Athens and Lesbos to provide (humanitarian) aid to vulnerable women and men.In my role as a policy advisor for Oxfam Novib, I advocated and campaigned on issues of development conflict, migration and displacement in a broader context of a polarising society. I was part of the Oxfam Novib Corporate lobby team, which coordinated all lobby and advocacy efforts towards Dutch Government and other relevant bodies. I worked on a national, European and global level. Specific countries I support and monitor are Greece, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan and other countries who are affected short- or long-term issues related to displacement or conflict. I developed and implemented multicountry and multi-regional programmes and large scale single country projects in close collaboration with country teams. Oxfam’s programmatic approach, in which campaigning, (lobby/influencing/public outreach) and programming are combined taking a conflict transformation approach also links programming with and contributes to the Oxfam International Rights in Crisis campaign (RIC) which seeks to empower people to claim their rights in times of conflict and disaster. It focuses on quick onset crises, local humanitarian leadership and inclusive peace and security.
