Provide leadership, training and guidance to the team. Process, create and post customer invoices. Post incoming customer payments via general ledger and accounting software. Execute ownership, coordination and completion of key account receivables and billing functions within the month end closing process. Reconcile AR ledger to ensure invoices and payment applications are completed accurately. Review daily cash receipts, credit/debit memo entries, deductions and supporting documentation input into account receivable sub ledger to ensure the accuracy and integrity of all General Ledger entries. Review the AR aging and status of invoice and credit transactions, issues, action items and workloads of the collectors. Responsible for collection of past due customer invoices and weekly reporting of collection status to senior management. Administer check deposits to multiple banks across multiple accounts. Review refund, debit, credit, and GL adjustments submitted for approval. Assist with department process and procedure improvements, documentation and training where necessary. Manage various departmental mailboxes to analyze, research, resolve and respond to customer, vendor and internal personnel inquiries and issues regarding shipping and price discrepancies, invoice copies and statement requests...etc in a courteous and professional manner. Analyze customer accounts, order and payment history to evaluate, set and/or authorize customer's initial credit limit and adjustments. Communicate key trends and escalation transactions of customers to management and credit team. Prepare reports and analysis for management decision making. Set-up and maintain customer and vendor accounts. Build and maintain positive and professional working relationships across internal departments and with external customers. Perform ad hoc projects and assignments as needed.
