The group will focus on: - Making travel increasingly accessible, reliable, and sustainable for passengers and driving economic development; - Further integrating the countries of Latin America with the rest of the world; - Maximizing potential synergies between two major Latin American carriers and taking advantage of their strong existing market positions; - Creating a strong and attractive financial profile to support a network of airlines that will have one of the lowest unit costs in their respective geographies, creating value for all stakeholders; and - Minimizing its airlines’ environmental footprint through investments in a fleet that accelerates the airline industry’s path towards carbon neutrality targets. Abra’s unique structure allows our airlines to retain their brands, talent, and culture while benefiting from the greater efficiencies and investments under the Abra umbrella. It provides a platform that allows them to reduce costs, increase scale, continue to operate a fleet of state-of-the-art aircraft, and expand routes, services, product offerings, and loyalty programs. Abra Group is a holding company structure formed by an agreement between the principal shareholders of Avianca and the controlling shareholder of GOL.
