CFD and Optimization METhods for Engineering and Science COMETES is a research group at the Industrial Engineering department of the University of Padova. Our main activities are: 1) Development of multidisciplinary optimization methods for the engineering design 2) Optimization and CFD analysis of axial turbomachinery, propulsion systems, wind turbines, fan coils, boat hulls, automotive 3) Development of numerical codes for: - Turbomachinery preliminary design and analysis (meanline, throughflow) - CFD simulation (LES, DNS) - Aero-structural analysis and optimization of wind turbines (BEM, lifting line, CFD)
