Dr. Petros Dardas

Dr Petros Dardas is a Consultant Cardiologist, Director of the Catheterization Laboratory, at St Luce’s Hospital, Thessaloniki, GREECE. He graduated from the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, Greece and he trained in clinical and invasive Cardiology in the UK. He spent most of his postgraduate training at the Regional Cardiac Unit, Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, England, mainly under Dr L. M. Shapiro, Consultant Cardiologist. He currently holds the post of Director of the Catheterization Laboratory, Department of Invasive Cardiology, St Luke’s Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece. He has a great experience in all forms of invasive Cardiology, involving all forms of invasive procedures with a special interest in Rotablation (> 500 procedures) and the full CTO program (>300 procedures). He is also involved in a full structural heart disease program (including ASD/PFO closures, a TAVI program started September 2012, a Mitral clip program started September 2014 and also experience in paravalvular leak closure). He undertakes various regular teaching activities including live case demonstrations from St Luke’s cath lab. He is the official proctor of BOSTON Scientific in Rotablation and IVUS training for South Eastern Europe since 2007 and also has MEDTRONIC proctor for TAVI since 2017. His research interest lies in the area of complex coronary procedures and TAVI.
