Forest Fund

Fund focus is revival of forest and market access for forestry produce. Forest revival includes: Soil rejuvenation/detoxification, water table improvement, tree planting, biodiversity enhancement/invasive removal, carbon sequestration and wealth creation for village forest farmers. Market access for forestry produce includes: Aggregation from village forest farmers, setting up and operationalizing the supply chain from farm gate to packer/processor, product sorting/ cleaning, consumer packaging and online/global marketing/ distribution. Target produce include fatty seeds like mahua/Sal/mango, spices, tamarind, cashew, wild fruits, moringa, berries, forest honey, silkworms, roots, medicinal herbs and misc. other materials which can be foraged in the forest. The forest fund seeks to associate with three kinds of entities. NGOs and individuals carrying out work at the forest level on the ground are the key resource entities.
