Lea Rowing Club, Hackney, London

Lea Rowing Club is open to people from all walks of life. We work with children and adults from across East London to make competitive sport accessible to all. We have won at Henley Royal Regatta six times and won countless national and international championship medals. Many athletes that took up rowing at our club have competed for GB and England, both nationally and internationally. We always welcome new members who want to compete at the highest level nationally and internationally, or simply want to enjoy rowing socially and being part of our community. We take our name from our location on the River Lea, a tributary of the Thames at the foot of Spring Hill in Hackney, London E5. The club was founded in 1980 by the members of five rowing clubs, continuing a tradition of rowing on the Lea that can be traced back for almost two hundred years.
