On arrival at Pullman Bunker Bay Resort, the first thing that greets you is the salty scent of the Indian Ocean with the hints of indigenous peppermint trees. The second is the jaw-dropping vistas of Bunker Bay from the resort’s reception and terrace.
Located a scenic 3 hour drive south of Perth the resort offers a pristine beachfront location on the northern tip of the world renowned Margaret River wine region.
The Margaret River Region is one of Australia’s most compact, yet strikingly diverse holiday destinations. It’s an enticing mosaic of pristine natural wonders, premium wineries, relaxed microbreweries, world-class restaurants, spectacular beaches, towering forests, inspirational artisans, warm and friendly locals and a laid-back charm all of its own.
Distinctly Western Australian, the resort spans 35 acres of landscaped native gardens that meet the shoreline. The gardens have been designed utilising indigenous plants, with Kangaroo Paws and other wildflowers flourishing in the gardens.
Inside, locally sourced materials are used extensively. Limestone and slate are complemented by warm karri and jarrah, while softer touches echo the bush/beach palette of sand, stone and gum-tree green.
The resort features 150 luxuriously appointed, bungalow-style villas with boardwalk access to tranquil Bunker Bay beach. Beautifully furnished with natural internal finishes including jarrah timber floors and limestone feature walls, each villa offers magnificent bathrooms and floor-to-ceiling windows which flow on to the resort grounds.
A jaw-dropping destination for conferences and weddings, the resort is the largest function venue in the South West that also offers accommodation.
In November 2017 the resort won Silver in the WA Tourism Awards for ‘Business Events Venues’ and in April 2018 was the winner of Meetings & Events Australia (MEA) WA award for 'Meeting, Exhibition or Event Venue - Capacity less than 500'.
