Quit’s goal is to reduce the health, financial and social inequities caused by smoking and vaping. We use evidence to drive policy, system and behavioural changes that enable a healthier society, free from addiction to nicotine.
We work with all levels of Government, providing evidence-based advice to inform the development and implementation of public health policy and programs.
We empower health care providers to support their patients and clients with best practice smoking cessation care. And we work to advocate and support health, community and social service organisations to embed smoking cessation in routine care.
Our public education campaigns educate and motivate to prevent teens from taking up smoking, and encourage those who smoke to quit and stay quit.
We support people to stop smoking through our world-first telephone counselling service Quitline (13 7848) and online tools.
