The project aimed to promote individual management and monitoring of electrical/electronic equipment chosen by customers who purchase a SmartPlug device developed during the project. Such device would connect to the internet made available by Mob Telecom to an intermediary client or which would have another device also developed during the project, such device would work as a server or gateway for the other SmartPlug devices. All communication was carried out using the power grid as a physical medium through PLC technologies integrated in both (gateway and SmartPlug). All devices have been included within IEEE (802.11g) and related standards. In addition to firmware development, management and monitoring applications for Android, iOS, etc. were managed.
